My name is Freddie Ann Harris, and I am a two-time breast cancer survivor.
When I first heard the words, “you have cancer,” I was terrified. I never imagined this would be my story. The road was not easy—filled with surgeries, treatments, and moments that tested every part of me. Yet even in the hardest seasons, I discovered a strength I didn’t know I had.
Through it all, my mother, Octavia, became my caretaker, and my family stood firmly by my side. My friends surrounded me with love, and prayer warriors I had never even met lifted my name before God. Their prayers, combined with the love of those closest to me, reminded me that I was never truly alone.
My faith anchored me. In my darkest hours, I turned to gospel music and prayer to renew my spirit and hold on to hope. I also clung tightly to Jeremiah 29:11:
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
That promise, along with the strength of family, the faithfulness of friends, and the unseen prayers of many, inspired hope in me when fear tried to take over.

Loving Me, began with a personal need. As a plus-size mastectomy survivor, I longed for a bra that was both comfortable and beautiful. What seemed like a simple desire uncovered a much deeper truth:
Survivors deserve dignity, confidence, and options that reflect who we are, not just what we endured.
